Mrs. Foster's homepage -- week of Nov 17th.                                                                  We are beginning the second trimester this week, so everyone has a fresh start to set goals and improve performance, including me!  Report cards should be arriving at the end of this week of the beginning of next week.  My webpage will let you know what topics and sections we are working on in math class as well as reminding you of upcoming assessments.  Please verify that your student has all the necessary supplies to work effectively.  We are working together to make this a great year! *All math students should have a notebook in which to write notes, examples, reflections, and practice.  Students also need a folder to store all handouts and something to write with.  Come prepared every day. *Remember to check the agenda for daily homework assignments with my initials. * Message folders go home every Wednesday to be returned signed by Friday. * I am available for extra help before and after school everyday.  Make an appointment. RED AND ORANGE -- Classes are continuing the study of Statistics by looking at Bar Graphs and Histograms. We will be working on a project developing a survey to collect and analyze data and then display the results in different forms.  Hopefully we will be able to incorporate some technology and the use of Excel.   BLUE -- Students are reviewing Integers and Equations to prepare for our first quiz of trimester2 on Wednesday 11/19 before continuing with Two-Step Equations (sheet 2.4).  This chapter is the foundation of all future study of Algebra. GREEN -- The class has it's first Trimester 2 quiz on Monday on Exponentials, LCM, GCF, Factorization, and Equivalent Fractions (sheets 2.1-2.3).  We will then continue our study of fractions by Comparing and Ordering Fractions (sheet 2.4) and Mixed Numbers (sheet 2.5).
