This site can inform parent what your child is doing in math class. For Pioneer students this can also remind you of homework and upcoming events.
Week of 11/10-11/14
We are continuing to develop problem solving strategies which will help us improve on the Mathematical Applications section of our upcoming CMT. We as a team developed a five-step approach to solving problems so we will be putting this into practice.
After working with the conepts of Prealgebra we will continue to look at formulas and "Plug and Chug" them for finding the area of rectangles in square inches and feet. This will end our journey through Chapter 1 and after a mid-week review we should be taking our Chapter 1 test by Friday. Homework: p.37 Geometry: Area of Rectangles.
Silver Class will be investigating Sequences which will end our Chapter 1. We will also be reviewing the concepts we have learned and be taking our test by week's end. Homework: p.32 Sequences
Parents: If you ever have a question regarding the assignments of your child please ask to see their AGENDA BOOKS. These should be kept up with in all classes and are signed by all of us teachers.
I am available for extra help on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00-5:00.
